Finca Los Pinos is located in the department of Cauca, 135 kilometers from the capital Popayan, at 1800 meters above sea level. It is close to the Nevado del Huila and the lagoon of the river Paez Moras about 20 kilometers from the archaeological park Tierradentro.

The Embus Duran family has seven members, led by Alberth, Deisy Liliana, and their children, Mario, Felipe, Sara, Talliana, and Arelis. For more than 20 years we have been working at Finca Los Pinos with coffee as a tradition. About 3 years ago we started improving diversity with new varietals Geisha, Caturra, Bourbon Rosé and others.

We are implementing new processes and technologies, which are now demanded by the market for high-quality coffee. Taking care of the environment, such as water sources and soils is a cornerstone of our tradition. We wash coffee with a machine that uses little water, and the water reused as fertilizer. On our farm we do not use agrochemicals.

I am the third generation of coffee growers and I am helped by my son. We have participated in different events and have been recognized as one of the best coffees in this region and country. We are the founders of an association of coffee growers with 90 members who continue to work on improving their processes.

Our family is motivated to continue with the coffee business because we know that we produce excellent coffee that can be well paid and thus improve our quality of life.
